Position Description:

This is a fantastic chance for a motivated individual to join a fast-growing company. This highly independent post provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve as a true People Operations advocate, providing the People Operations team and the organization as a whole with the tools they need to achieve long-term success.

Principal Duties

  • Weekly payroll cycle for more than 250 employees (both exempt and non-exempt, including commission payments)
  • Benefits should be distributed through high-touch interactions with employees.
  • Work with the benefits broker to ensure that the benefits files and paycheck deductions are accurate.
  • From a systems standpoint, lead the annual open enrollment process.
  • Oversee the internal LOA Procedure (intake and liaise between third party vendor and Resident employees)
  • Administer the BambooHR Policy Library, updating and auditing as needed.
  • Conduct quarterly compliance audits to ensure that all necessary employee documentation are signed and kept on file.
  • Make salary statements for new hiring, promotions, and changes.
  • Perform a comp study for open positions, promotions, and adjustments.
  • As needed, additional salary, perks, and compliance work
  • Lead the internal Charitable Contributions Program, ensuring that charities receiving gifts from residents are paid on time.
  • Lead the Student Associate Program’s recruitment and onboarding.
  • As needed, general recruiting assistance
  • Assist important business stakeholders in providing performance feedback.
  • More HR initiatives and assignments will be assigned as needed.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A minimum of eight years’ experience in human resources, ideally in a commercial, private sector/start-up environment.
  • Ability to operate alone with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of Human Operations policies and processes, as well as their actual application and best practices.
  • Curiosity, engagement, and a desire to take on new tasks
  • Capable of developing business partnerships with key business stakeholders at all levels through high-touch, visible HR services.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as are problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to retain complete discretion and calm in potentially stressful situations.
