The Operations Coordinator organizes and coordinates operations and logistics for ESPN-produced events, drawing on technical knowledge and practical experience. Through orientation and observation, this individual is expected to gain working knowledge of all phases of departmental operations; familiarizes self with basic duties of other departmental personnel and functions of Operations Producer. This position may be required to travel to remote sites on various sporting events as needed to assist Operations Producers in organizing and coordinating on-site operations and logistics, interacting with crew personnel, production, and technical teams to meet specific schedules and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Management in Bristol and in remote locations.
  • Maintain event personnel lists, ensuring the accuracy of work start and end dates, and coordinating with the crewing department to ensure proper personnel hiring.
  • Maintain the Operations hotel list and collaborate with Travel to ensure its accuracy.
  • Place orders for requested equipment and supplies. For example, VIZ, C&S, ART, and so on.
  • Oversee and perform office functions at remote work locations.
  • Invoices are received and processed.
  • On the I Drive, update financial tracking documents. Communicate with the Program Finance Department to keep them up to date on location expenses and budgetary information for remote events.

Requirements:

Qualifications Required

  • Examine freelance candidates for entry-level remote support positions. Organizing the local runner and utility services.
  • Ensure that all new hires and vendors correctly complete corporate paperwork and guide it through the system, resulting in appropriate payment.
  • Assist with shipping arrangements between vendors and remote locations.
  • Obtain and keep a thorough understanding of technical equipment and systems.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Assist with survey distribution and remote maintenance for the Operations Producer.
  • Must be available to take calls after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
  • Ability to balance day-to-day workload while also assisting with day-of-air remote challenges.

Education: Diploma from a High School

The salary range for this remote position is $52,398.00 to $70,290.00 per year, depending on geographic region. The actual base pay will take internal equity into account and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Depending on the level and position offered, a bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included in the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
