Online Tutor – Remote Jobs

Responsibilities:

• Use the BookNook platform to hold online tutoring sessions; no lesson planning is necessary!
• Control the conduct and involvement of the students during the lessons.
• Establish a setting that is inclusive, courteous, and safe.
• Continue to have a good rapport with the students.
• Record observations in the session notes for every session.

Requirements:

• Age requirement of at least eighteen
• Able to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Proficiency in literacy best practices that are in line with the findings of the reading science Ability to inspire and uplift pupils
• the capacity to establish deep relationships with students
• Innovation and adaptability to meet students where they are: Before every class, students are asked how they are feeling that particular day.
• finished or enrolled in a program leading to teacher certification
• Experience working with K–8 students as a teacher or tutor, including but not limited to: holding a valid teaching license; acting as a teaching assistant or substitute teacher; working as a paraprofessional; being a professor; OR tutoring students for another tutoring service.
• Preference for classroom experience
• Experience teaching or tutoring online is preferred.
• A computer, webcam, and a dependable, fast internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps are required.
