Responsibilities:

• Provide patients with primary care in an employer-based context.
• Irregular care (low acuity Urgent Care)
• Prolonged Episodic Acute Care, which may require 4-5 visits for a limited-chronic disease or injury,
• If we are not the PCP, chronic disease education and co-management with outside primary care
• Ability to manage a specimen collection lab, distribute prescription drugs, and monitor CLIA waived testing.
• Health and wellness education and biometric screening in conjunction with on-site staff
• Possibility of receiving advice from a travel medicine specialist, receiving vaccinations, or receiving allergen immunotherapy (with proper training)
• Employees receive direct one-on-one health counseling, and patients are sent to wellness programs.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead and work well with members of the medical team (MA, LPN)
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities with both internal and external clients as well as in group situations
• Possibility of collaborating with regional HR/benefits staff to enhance employee wellness

Requirements:

• NP Certified program alum
• A valid, unrestricted NP license from the relevant state is necessary.
• A minimum of three years’ worth of autonomous NP work experience in a family practice or internal medicine setting
• Independent practice in the appropriate state
• DEA authorization to prescribe drugs
• Experience with electronic health records
• BLS accreditation

The clinic where this NP works is located in Lakeland, Florida.
