The Commercial Contracts Managed Care (CCMC) Supervisor is responsible for supervising this person’s work. analyzes and translates the language, terms, and accountability matrices of commercial contracts. Ensures timely payment of inpatient and outpatient hospital bills in accordance with the terms and conditions of each contract and/or insurance company policies by conducting phone and written follow-up with insurance companies, third party payers, worker’s compensation payers, medical groups, outside hospitals, and physician’s offices. ensures that payers comply with regulations governing the prompt processing of claims. Has a thorough awareness of the Managed Care payment concepts, rules, and regulations as well as insurance company payment requirements to handle reimbursement from both the third party and patient perspectives. Determines if the payer need extra information, points out obstacles, or secures payment dates while engaging with specific payers on an account-by-account basis. accountable for following up on information requests as necessary to remove obstacles to payment. Elevates the account to Management or Payer Management if impediments cannot be removed. with each payer, develops collection recovery tactics. Each unpaid account must be vigorously pursued to ensure maximum recovery and closure. Both hospitals might receive these services. examines appeals and rejections Inspection of aging reports and collections
