The experienced MA assists providers in the preparation for, examination of, and treatment of patients, and is an important partner in our Health Centers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients at health care facilities by verifying coverage and eligibility and filling out necessary paperwork.
- Takes the patient’s history, vital signs, and assists with care coordination.
- Medication administration
- Prepares the exam room
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments in accordance with protocol.
- In accordance with departmental procedures, answer the phone. Determine the nature of the call and route it appropriately. Take accurate and legible messages if necessary.
- Schedule appointments and confirm membership based on various benefit coverage options.
- With patients, go over preprinted instruction sheets.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings and in-service programs.
- Transfers to new procedures and departments.
- Assists in the orientation of new employees and temporary pool staff to job duties.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved MA program or on-the-job training capable of obtaining CCMA
- Current BCLS certification is required.
- At least one year of front and back office experience is required.
- Phlebotomy abilities
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of electronic health records
- Excellent customer service abilities are required.

Please keep in mind that this position will be based in our West Palm Beach and Wellington health centers.

This is a patient-facing position, so you must be fully vaccinated or be willing to undergo testing twice a week. It should be noted that in some areas, local law requires the clinician to be vaccinated without the option of testing; in those cases, local law takes precedence.
If you will be working from home on a regular or permanent basis, you must obtain an internet connection from a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speeds.
