Responsibilities:
- Respond to and fix problems that affect content creation, broadcast, and distribution across multiple DEE networks, such as system hiccups, flaws, and associated technical issues, and carry out the diagnostic testing, repair, and replacement procedures required to address common, unique, and complex issues. Utilize software and platforms for system health and performance monitoring; troubleshoot and assist in fixing system issues and failures; participate in system maintenance; install software patches, updates, etc.; and troubleshoot system issues as they relate to these services.
- Analyze and resolve issues with streaming audio and video signals in situations that use IP 2110 essence flow routing and conventional SDI.
- Review and fix cloud platforms as necessary
- Manage third-party service providers by upholding the agreed-upon service scope in the various service agreements that have been signed (for example, full-time, freelancing, union agency, maintenance providers, contractors, service providers, etc.).
- Technical personnel should be chosen, trained, inspired, and evaluated. Staff should also receive or coordinate training, cooperate with others to address shortcomings, and follow discipline processes.
- Determine and purchase media technology systems’ equipment, materials, and supplies within set financial constraints; receive and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Create long-term planning for upcoming media technology requirements, including investments in capital projects to boost production and distribution capacities.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of technological facility policies and procedures with an emphasis on maximizing the integration of all systems to achieve business, marketing, and entertainment objectives.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all tasks entailed in running, maintaining, and programming the enterprise’s and associated assets’ audio and video production and distribution systems.
- Under the direction of a more senior engineer or supervisor, changes the hardware and software of the system.
- To guarantee optimum broadcast performance, perform and coordinate preventative maintenance on all broadcast systems and equipment, including radio facilities, distribution systems, switchers, consoles, playout servers, cameras, robots, electromechanical equipment, and automation systems.
- Under the leadership of more seasoned engineers, takes part in challenging technical projects.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of prior and pertinent expertise in maintaining the technological infrastructures for the creation and delivery of live media in an effective, up-time-ensuring manner.
- Electrical engineering, computer science, or a related major as a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Capable of using technology like DevOps tools, design standards, techniques, and principles
- Possessing scripting skills in Python, NodeJS, Bash, and PowerShell will be advantageous.
- Competent in SMPTE guidelines for broadcast television and streaming video situations. accompanied by a valid certification, such as ST 292M, ST 424M, ST 2110, ST 2059, IEE1588, ST 2022-7, SCTE-104, etc.
- Understanding of current technical developments as well as on-premises and cloud-based platforms for computing and storage infrastructure. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, CompTIA Cloud+, Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or another basic cloud certification is required.
- Understanding of and practical experience with compression methods like JPEG 2000, HEVC, MPEG2/4, and JPEG XS.
- A working knowledge of Evertz software control systems, including frame control via VistaLink or Magnum, EQX/EXE routers, and their monitoring tools VLPRO, SDVN, VIP, VUE, MVP.
- Expertise in areas including asset management systems, file-based workflows, media acquisition, transcoding/encoding, graphics, and NAS/SAN technologies, as well as knowledge with major media systems and the suppliers of those systems.
- Understanding of and practical expertise with Linear Acoustics, Nielsen (NACAT), and other comparable systems.
- Coordination receiver decoders (IRDs), core devices, edge devices, timing of video and audio systems, and audio and video media file formats knowledge and experience are advantages.
- Being able to use AutoCAD and other technical drawing and documentation tools to create, read, and understand.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and maintenance in at least one of the following:
- Routers, switchers, audio boards, signal processors, encoders, decoders, video scalers, playback systems, and other IP-based broadcast equipment.
- Video walls, cameras, virtual reality set technology, image processing systems, touch displays, lighting, etc. are all examples of studio technology.
- Processes based on files, such as enterprise media asset management systems (local network-based or cloud-based), which include storage, computation, encoding, and dissemination.
- Systems for Grass Valley automation, Imagine Communications, Avid, Adobe, Viz, Dalet, Riedel trunking, Lawo, Calrec, Evertz, Ross, and other production control.
- Transmission technologies including radio frequency (RF), satellite, and fiber distribution, among others.
- Expertise of AWS infrastructures, other cloud-based technologies, such as S3/Glacier storage and cloud compute (EC2) services, with a proven track record for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Physical qualifications and working conditions: Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to work on roofs, ladders, and other elevated surfaces.
