Responsibilities:

The Transport Workers Union (TWU)/International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) – Collective Bargaining Agreement governs the terms and circumstances of this position.

  • The duties of the Material Logistics Specialist classification, according to assignment, including requisitioning, receiving, storing, stock chasing, disbursing, transferring, counts, kitting, checking, inspecting, exchanging, returning to the factory, issuing, shipping, delivering, and rearranging stock. • The collection and storage of supplies, including tools and materials used by the Tech Ops department. Transfer, delivery, packing, and receipt of AOG and OTS parts. obtaining and preparing components and materials, including hazardous materials, for shipment.
  • Identifying products, lifting, carrying, binning, and removing items from stock, as well as related physical labor such as loading, unloading, packaging, and unpacking.
  • Keeps inventories within predetermined parameters and in usable condition.
  • Keeps the workspace and surrounding spaces clean. Stores products in accordance with the company’s policies and “good housekeeping” standards. reports the need for repairs and cleans and maintains any equipment utilized to keep it in working order and presentable.
  • Complies with all FAA and company regulations, policies, and directives given by a crew chief or superior.
  • As required by the job, uses hand tools like but not limited to power saws, hammers, crow bars, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches when not in conflict with facilities maintenance work; drives or guides powered equipment such as industrial tractors with or without trailers, forklifts, trucks, or other Company motorized vehicles in the movement of parts, equipment, and tooling; climbs on ladders, bins, etc.; uses industrial scales; and uses cleaning equipment like
  • Will interact with other company employees in a way that is specified by the company as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.

  • Have a GED or a High School diploma and one of the following:
  • Candidates must have graduated from a recognized trade or technical school or have successfully completed two years (or its equivalent) of college.
  • Twelve (12) or more months of satisfactory experience in a general warehouse or a supply function similar to it that involves receiving, shipping, and binning merchandise by part number and serial number
  • The capacity to read, write, talk, and comprehend in either the English language or the language of the place where you are.
  • An appropriate driver’s license
  • Passing all necessary qualification tests, including the one for handling hazardous materials.
  • Be able to recognize Company part numbers, invoice, bill of lading, and shipper numbers when necessary, as well as to read and write legibly in order to complete forms and/or acknowledge messages.
  • The capacity to recognize colors.
  • Employ basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction of integers with six digits).
  • Must be familiar with and proficient in using fundamental computer abilities.
  • Must fulfill all requirements listed in the Material Process Specification Manual (MPSM) and successfully demonstrate all requirements by passing the relevant test(s) before the probationary term is up.
  • Must be willing to work outside in all weather according to the company’s safety regulations.
  • Must be prepared to put in longer hours as necessary for operations, such as during inclement weather.
  • The ability to work shifts that alternate between days off and weekends.
  • Arrives at work promptly and on schedule.
  • To be eligible for unaccompanied access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), an individual must pass a criminal background check conducted by the FAA.
  • Must be able to obtain the necessary security badges from US Customs and/or the airport authority.
  • Drug and alcohol testing by the Department of Transportation (DOT) may be required for this position. To find out if you had any DOT drug infractions or refusals to do drug or alcohol tests in the two years prior, we will get in touch with your past employers. The following drugs will be examined in your DOT-required urine sample: cocaine, marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, and opiates.
