We seek an individual who elevates the craft and drives brand expansion. Someone who can exert influence and collaborate across the enterprise in order to connect Marketing, Product, Strategy, International, and Data. A customer-obsessed individual who works backwards from consumer insights and human truths. The ideal brand marketing leader can take our strategic annual brand marketing plan and bring it to life through exceptional creative and campaigns that we bring to market, thereby capturing the hearts and minds of our global target audiences.

You will report to the Director of Brand Marketing and have access to the organization’s key leaders. This is a remote position.


  • Direct and inspire customer-centric, world-class brand marketing initiatives that focus on enhancing the Kraken brand’s awareness, love, loyalty, and relevance.
  • Contribute to the development of the brand strategy, including positioning, purpose, promise, and messaging, and translate it into results-driven annual brand plans, breakthrough campaigns and activations, and all facets of the customer experience.
  • Champion the customer and lead efforts that unlock and craft compelling human and cultural stories that contribute to Kraken’s efforts to build the most iconic, trusted, resilient, and beloved cryptocurrency brand.
  • Drive the development of creative briefs and work closely with Creative and Media. Advocate for the work throughout the entire process, from inception to market launch. You will engage in rigorous debate in pursuit of creative, brand linkage, breakthrough, clarity, and on-brand ideas to ensure that Kraken stands out and we achieve our brand objectives.
  • Orchestrate the translation of global brand marketing efforts across international countries and regions by ensuring that we deliver the most effective playbooks, toolkits, and other materials to bring our brand campaigns to local markets. Collaborate with international teams to determine which nations require tailored efforts due to cultural nuances, product readiness, etc.
    Manage expansive budgets, multichannel campaigns, and activations. Continually optimize plans for desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate and partner closely with a dynamic team of marketers, in-house and agency creatives, product experts, and other company leaders to bring our brand to life, ensuring that we produce successful, results-driven work.
  • Direct brand campaign measurement and metrics and collaborate with Marketing Insights, Analytics, Intelligence, and Media teams to quantify the impact of brand marketing on the business and optimize campaigns on an ongoing basis.


  • Seven or more years of experience in the industry driving innovative brand and integrated marketing.
  • Expertise in and enthusiasm for all things crypto
  • Experience measuring impact and determining improvements using data and metrics
  • Experience influencing the direction and coordination of cross-functional teams.
  • Experience presenting results and goal progress to senior management.

Favorable Qualifications

  • Ten plus years of experience in the industry driving innovative brand and integrated marketing.
  • Expertise in and enthusiasm for all things crypto
  • Outstanding knowledge of brand marketing principles and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience performing this work in a global context where cultural and technical diversity are valued.
  • Experience as an account director or team leader at a brand or creative agency, consultancy, or an organization’s internal brand marketing team, including in-house brand experience.
  • A creative and analytical thinker with a track record of transforming insights and strategy into compelling narratives and customer value.
  • Capability to inspire, influence, and uplift cross-functional teams with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a dedication to deep collaboration in order to build a cohesive brand.
  • Capability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities concurrently, and drive completion of complex, highly visible projects.
  • Voice of intuition for customer communication.
