Responsibilities:
- Support and lead projects relating to affordability, the development of Cigna’s affordability and value narrative, and the use of data and analytical tools. Achieve actuarial and analytical rigor in the development of our clinical and value-based story.
- May be responsible for ongoing operations or goals or lead initiatives or steps within a larger project that are driven by analysis or insights.
- Create and keep up-to-date work plans that take priorities, milestones, timeframes, resource requirements, and job sequencing into account in order to meet goals.
- To identify, evaluate, and pursue ideas that promote innovation and efficiency throughout the area and markets, maintain strong, good relationships with UW, Pricing, Product, Network, and other important matrix partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, economics, or a related field is desirable. Candidates having an FSA or ASA qualification will also be given consideration.
- 5+ years of expertise in a healthcare actuarial setting expertise persuading executives and external audiences and presenting ideas
- Ability to translate abstract thoughts and ideas into specific quantitative analysis Expert level understanding of total medical cost concepts and procedures in the healthcare setting
