Data analysis and assessment of the $9 billion Air Traffic Liability (ATL), including credits and other passenger compensation, and the corresponding breakage/Unearned Transportation Revenue (UTR) from changes in the relevant policies and underlying technology will be the main responsibilities.
- Work with the Commercial teams to examine new fare product ideas and modifications to existing fare products, interpret passenger ticketing and tax laws including no-show policy, refundability, and validity, and then deliver an executive summary of your results after supporting them with data analysis and modeling.
- Improve a breakage recognition model and process based on tracking and forecasting data.
- Know the whole life cycle of a passenger ticket, from the time of purchase through revenue recognition through expiration or breakage, as well as how to evaluate how the ticket was used by the passenger through lift, refund, exchange, or breakage.
- Work closely with FP&A and Financial Reporting on the development of management reporting/dashboards for ATL, eCredits, and UTR.
- Tthe leadership with the analyses and findings.
- Over 200 ticket taxes are subject to my remittance, compliance, and audit responsibilities.
- Lead and encourage the group.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze accounting, financial, and ticketing data in-depth with regard to breakage analysis, credits, and air traffic liability.
- To comprehend new product proposals, modifications to existing products, and execution of the corresponding policies, including ticketing terms and conditions, business unit teams should collaborate.
- Work cooperatively across divisions to ensure controls and functionality adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and financial/tax audit reviews and flow through to accurate revenue accounting and financial reporting.
- Create dashboards and data models for both internal and external reporting.
- By working to improve and keep up strong internal controls, the department supports its compliance with Sarbanes Oxley regulations.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- 7 years of relevant experience are necessary.
- Working familiarity with programs like Hyperion, SAS, Tableau, and Toad.
- experience executing extensive data analysis on big data sets using intricate techniques.
- The chosen candidate must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possess the ability to create clear, pertinent documentation and presentations for senior management using excellent oral and written communication skills.

WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative major, such as business administration, economics, finance, or engineering; MBA/MA/MS degrees are recommended.
- Experience working in one of the commercial or financial aspects of the airline sector is preferred, such as reservations, airport customer service, eCommerce, revenue management, sales, or revenue accounting/pipeline.
- experience doing impact analyses of policies and fare products.
- 7 years of extensive experience with analytical software, including Revenue Pipeline/BARTS and Hyperion, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
