Responsibilities:
- Help the governance and enterprise risk management frameworks of Delta continue to develop and improve.
- Identify and analyze the risks posed by various business functions, as well as the effectiveness of the current procedures, controls, and risk mitigation measures.
- Utilizing cutting-edge statistical and data analysis tools, strong data and factual knowledge is required to estimate risks and construct risk models.
- Use data models, GRC tools, Power BI, and other data analytics tools to analyze risk-related data and produce illuminating reports and visualizations for executive-level presentations.
- Work together with cross-functional teams to make sure that proper risk management procedures are integrated into corporate operations and decision-making.
- Give business units advice and support in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks related to value trade-offs to their operations, strategic initiatives, and decision-making consequences.
- To determine risk exposure, risk mitigation methods, and organizational preparedness and reaction capability, conduct risk assessments and scenario analysis.
- Senior leadership and the board of directors should be informed about important risk indicators, new hazards, and market developments.
- To increase risk awareness and advance a risk-aware culture inside the organization, develop and deliver training programs on risk management principles and practices.
- To continuously improve our program, stay up to date on legislative mandates, business standards, and new developments in corporate risk management, data analytics, and group facilitation.
- Attend important internal risk and control committee meetings.
- To increase the capabilities and performance of the team, lead, train, and coach your teammates.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- The ideal applicant should possess the following qualifications in addition to five years of risk management experience:
- Self-starter who has proven themselves, appreciates a fast-paced environment, and seeks the challenge of developing procedures and programs in a setting that is rapidly changing.
- 7+ years of proven expertise creating and managing programs for large-scale business organizations with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong familiarity with and comprehension of the key business levers, processes, and best practices for risk management.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and risk quantification methods
- Knowledge of using business intelligence tools like Power BI for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to think strategically and provide senior leadership with insightful information through storytelling and data visualization.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities, particularly the capacity to explain complex risk concepts to stakeholders who are not technical.
- Demonstrated capacity for establishing and maintaining connections with important stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive-level presence and presentation abilities.
- Powerful project management abilities, including the capacity to direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Accepts many individuals, viewpoints, and solutions.
- Establishes linkages between causes and effects across the company to have an impact on risk management operations and decision making.
- Collaborative problem-solver with the capacity to turn complex problems into manageable steps in the presence of many stakeholders.

- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study, such as risk management, finance, math, or data science. A master’s degree in mathematics, business, engineering, data science, or risk management (such CRM or FRM) is strongly preferred.
- Certifications in processes and continuous improvement, such as Six Sigma
- Experience and skills in advanced modeling and data science
- Experience integrating several enterprise-wide systems and data (GRC systems, AuditBoard, among others)
