Responsibilities:
- Create repair strategies after conducting technological surveillance countermeasures and security assessments to pinpoint security flaws and hazards.
- Independently examines and offers mitigations, supports technical security evaluation campaign findings, and analyzes potential security vulnerabilities from a range of sources to detect patterns and trends.
- Create evaluation reports, briefs, and white papers on vulnerabilities, security issues, and operational gaps that affect Amazon data, operations, and/or reputation for senior leadership, internal departments, and stakeholders.
- Closely coordinates with the other Amazon security and service teams on concerns pertaining to the security posture of AWS.
- Work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership teams to turn security risk mitigation plans into practical measures to reduce risk.
Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience managing technical products or programs
- 3+ years of expertise with the project management disciplines of scope, schedule, budget, and quality, as well as risk and critical path management
- Knowledge of creating processes, managing release schedules, and managing programs across cross-functional teams
- Engineering, computer science, or a related field bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience reviewing, surveying, or evaluating technical surveillance countermeasures
- 5+ years of expertise with a security program for the entire enterprise
- 5+ years of experience performing duties on a team or program that uses technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM).
- Five or more years of experience in identifying vulnerabilities in all widely used wireless and technical security protocols
- 5+ years of expertise finding common signals of relevance in wired and wireless domains, including (but not limited to) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Zwave, Cellular (UTMS, WCDMA, GSM, LTE, 5G), Common Radios (FRS, GMRS), and Common Radios (UTMS, WCDMA, GSM, LTE, 5G),
- At least five years’ worth of experience dealing with each of the following Countermeasures Receivers, RF Spectrum Analyzers, Non-Linear Junction Detectors, RF Broadband Detectors, Infrared (near/far), Pre-Amplifiers, Amplifiers, Antennas (omni, directional), Audio and Signal Amplification, and other TSCM apparatus
- Three or more years of experience proving superior customer service abilities
- Graduate of the Interagency Training Center’s (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals Course
- Understanding of or practical experience using In Place Monitoring Systems (IPMS) and Wireless Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (WIDs/WIPs).
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience working closely with engineering teams
- A master’s degree in information security, networking, computer science, information technology, a related field, or a related field and seven or more years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience as a TSCM program or team leader, including engagement management and scoping operations
- Understanding of technical security repair methods and wireless technology
- American citizen
- 5+ years of experience in wireless network engineering or security engineering
- 5+ years of experience in security-related technologies, risk assessment techniques, methodologies, and procedures.
- 5+ year(s) of experience working with people from different organizations
- 3+ years of identification of cellular-related vulnerabilities and corresponding remedial pathways
- 3+ years of experience in VoIP, telephony, and threat analysis for industrial control systems
- Three or more years of experience using AWS services and products.
- Experience using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, and/or shell scripts for at least three years.
