A proactive automation controls and technical support job for fulfillment center operations, with a focus on increasing equipment performance and dependability. This equipment includes conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and co-ordinate work tasks for the Control Systems Techs/Leads to achieve the aims of the North American Customer Fulfillment teams.
- Assist building operations, operations engineering, the FC Start up Team, the AFT Software teams, the ACES team, and safety in implementing projects and optimizing MHE systems.
- Recognize, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, motor control systems, servo drives, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and PLC/PC controllers as well as industrial networks such as DeviceNet and Profibus.
- Keep an eye on MHE metrics, collaborate with maintenance and operations on any problems with system performance, and offer analysis for all operations.
- Provide first level escalation support for the Control Systems Techs/Leads during and after business hours, troubleshooting locally and remotely, and fixing any hardware or controls software issues in the structure.
- Correctly escalate downtime events to suppliers or the corporate office for assistance in resuming equipment operation.
- Guide Control System Leaders (CSL) and Technicians (CST) in the building you’ve been given.
- Enable Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes, then put them into place and retrain staff to prevent recurrence of occurrences.
- Use subject-matter knowledge of electronic and material handling systems to increase system usage in buildings.
- Carry out, make use of, and offer analysis building System evaluations to gauge the effectiveness of material handling systems
- Collaborate with other building operations leadership, equipment and part suppliers to organize the installation of new technologies. serve as the building’s technical consultant for major projects
- Use network support services to help you establish your network, and help your colleagues when you need it.
- Share technical concerns and project schedules with the building’s management, operations, and maintenance team. Describe how production impacts
- Help in the evaluation of technical positions for building operation maintenance teams’ skill sets.
- Manage a flexible workload that could be generated by management or other processes.
- Take part in AE conference calls and work with the AE central staff to finish all necessary duties.
- Basic requirements include a bachelor’s degree or two or more years of experience at Amazon in a related field.
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Five or more years of leadership experience

- Knowledge of robotics, controls, automated equipment, and electrical theory
- Working knowledge of HMI and control network components, including their identification, upkeep, troubleshooting, programming, and design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of motor controls, including motor starters, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and common electrical components; experience recognizing, maintaining, diagnosing, and altering motor controls.
- Practical expertise with troubleshooting in industrial electrical, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.
- Proven ability to analyze, alter, and create mechanical and electrical designs having knowledge of, and experience with, SCADA systems and KPIs
- Experience with programming tools like RSLogix5000 studio, FT View, and other platforms for controls software
- Understanding of robotic work cells and their control systems
- The capacity to collaborate with managers at all levels while serving as a technical leader. talents in logic, analysis, and problem solving.

- The capacity to comprehend, interpret, and connect policies and processes to others. familiarity in the design or programming of system controllers
- Experience in systems integration
