Responsibilities:

• Oversee a group of data scientists as they examine sizable data sets to spur creative feature creation and the creation of several reliable, highly effective fraud and risk models.
• Create algorithms for machine learning, data mining, statistics, and graph analysis that can handle large amounts of data; collaborate with engineering to make sure these techniques are used and implemented correctly.
• Assist the data science and product teams with analytics.
• Make sure that the performance of the production models is closely monitored.
• Implement fresh approaches to data modeling and enhance current ones.
• Inform clients and senior management about the status of the project or product.
• Perform well in a cross-functional setting that moves quickly.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent training
• 7-9 years of relevant work experience combined with at least 5+ years of industry experience in a corresponding position.
• Expertise dealing with networked systems and creating data-driven algorithms for relevance, machine learning, or information retrieval.
• Familiarity in SQL, HQL, Python, Spark, Scala, and UNIX systems administration.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling tools, machine learning, data mining, and underlying algorithms.
• Optimal Qualifications
• Programming knowledge in at least one of the following languages: Scala, Java, C, Python, and Shell.
• Practical familiarity with relational database systems.
