By safeguarding assets and information across Verizon networks, infrastructure, and applications, the Verizon Corporate Information Security (CIS) team safely supports the business. Security is included into the architecture of technology systems and services through CIS, which unifies cybersecurity governance, policies, technologies, and operations across Verizon. By proactively utilizing threat intelligence, cutting-edge security processes, and technologies to reduce the number of incidents that affect Verizon and by maintaining constant vigilance, monitoring, and response to quickly minimize the impact of incidents that do occur, Verizon’s Corporate Information Security team protects Verizon’s global operations, assets, stakeholders, and intellectual property from cyber security threats.
Responsibilities:
Throughout the program, you will receive support from Verizon’s Corporate Information Security, Cyber Defense, and Engineering teams in both your career and personal development.
- Learning more about how Security Operations and Cyber Defense are carried out for a big telecoms corporation.
- Working under the guidance of cyber experts to get practical expertise in one or more of the operational areas listed below: Threat Monitoring, Incident Response, Continuous Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, and Cyber Defense Engineering are some examples of enterprise vulnerability management.
- Solving practical security problems by conducting applied research and solution design under the guidance of cyber security experts.
- Supporting initiatives and plans to strengthen the security posture of the business.
- Attending training seminars and learning programs to gain expertise about regular business operations.
- Transferring technical knowledge to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:
- Two requirements: a bachelor’s degree or at least one year of job experience.
- An undergraduate degree in cybersecurity or a closely related field.
If you own any of the following, even better:
- Internship or cybersecurity experience.
- The capacity to function autonomously in a remote setting.
- Strong communication, presenting, leadership, and analytical skills.
- The capacity to cooperate in a dynamic team context.
- Understanding of the theories and practices of cybersecurity as they relate to people, processes, and technology.
- CEH or Security+ certification.

The salary range for this employment, depending on a full-time schedule, is between $69,000 and $129,000 if you are employed for a California workplace. Your location, verified job-related abilities, and experience will all affect your pay. There is room for growth in this position, which is incentive-based. Your pay will be changed to reflect your hours if you are hired for a part-time position.
