Responsibilities:
Among others, but not exclusively, responsibilities are:
- Making reservations, aiding with breaking-news crashes, logging, and transcription
- Helping with the visuals
- Story research and other supporting roles
- Minimally modifying videos
- Offering up stories
- In the control room, following
- Observing/helping out on shoots
- Supporting social media
- Executing scripts
- Teleprompter in use
- Helping with portions
- Verifying the facts
Requirements:
(Basic Requirements)
- Demonstrated capacity for quick conceptual understanding, teamwork, and efficiency and dependability
- Initiative, a sense of wonder, and a good work ethic
- Broadcast journalism interest that has been shown
- Knowledge of simple video editing
- Microsoft Office expertise is a requirement.
- Ready to take on whatever this internship has to offer with a positive outlook and a “can-do” attitude

- Students who have participated in the journalism, broadcasting, or media programs at their colleges
- Capable of using AVID or comparable editing programs
Necessary education
- You must be a junior, senior, or recent graduate (within six months of your graduation date) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, media studies, film/television, or a similar field in order to be eligible for this internship.
Additional Information:
- Must have graduated from a college or university within six months OR must be currently enrolled in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship OR must have at least one class taken in the semester or quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program.
- Must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid work permit.
- Must not have worked on a Disney internship or program for more than a year straight.
- Must be able to maintain a regular, dependable work schedule throughout the session; limited flexibility is allowed, though.
- Must be able to work on-site in New York City, and for the duration of the internship, provide own lodging and transportation.
- This is mostly an in-person internship with some flexibility for remote work.
- Program Length: This internship will take place between January and June of 2024, roughly. For the duration of the internship, the candidate must be available to work 16 to 40 hours per week during Eastern Standard Time, which may include nights and weekends.
This internship in New York, New York, pays $21.70 per hour. The pay package may include a few advantages, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
