By creating designs and offering engineering support to Walt Disney Imagineering architects and engineers on a variety of projects, such as Attractions, Resorts, Foods and Beverage, Merchandise, and Entertainment venues, you will have a wide range of opportunities as a Fire Protection Engineering intern to contribute to project success.

Help with all phases of project work, from drafting to on-site as-built documentation, design coordination with outside design consultants, field data collection, design / production work, construction administration, loss prevention, commissioning, and close-out documentation for a variety of projects ranging in scope from minor renovations to constructing new facilities.
Requirements:
- It would be ideal to have previous relevant job experience, such as through co-op or internship programmes with a construction, engineering, or architectural concentration.
- Demonstrated or demonstrated good technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Self-starter who has shown initiative and is able to manage many priorities and duties
- The ability to work a variety of shifts in accordance with the needs of the project
- The capacity to efficiently manage time across a variety of work environments, including project sites and occasionally remote work
Necessary education
Having completed a degree program in Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology within the last six months from an approved college or university, or being enrolled as a Junior or higher (including Master’s degree programs) at the time of application.
Additional Details
- Must have graduated from a college or university within six months OR must be currently enrolled in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship OR must have at least one class taken in the semester or quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program.
- Age requirement is at least 18 years old.
- Must not have worked on a Disney internship or program for more than a year straight.
- A valid work permit with no restrictions
- Location: This internship may be in Glendale, California, or Orlando, Florida.
- Program duration: This internship will run roughly from January 2024 until May or June 2024.

- Must have dependable transportation to and from work
In Glendale, California, this position pays $25.50 per hour for undergraduates and $26.50 per hour for graduate students. The pay package may include a few advantages, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
