Responsibilities:
As an internal consultant for Reservations, the intern will work on semester-long projects that enhance the division’s plans and objectives. In order to find possibilities and suggest solutions to enhance both the customer and specialist experience, these projects frequently call for working cross-functionally. Strong critical thinking and interpersonal abilities are required of interns when conducting tasks like:
- Monitoring and evaluating channel performance
- Identify and address project and product risks.
- Substantial data collecting and analysis
- Determine areas for process improvement
- These extensive and intricate projects may include highly private information and carry a moderate level of financial risk. A capstone presentation detailing project lessons learned, impacts made, and recommendations moving ahead is the project’s last output and is provided to division leaders.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- Must be able to work 14 weeks in a row.
- A great team player who is meticulous and can work under duress
- Transmits a professional impression to all levels of colleagues.
- Strong communication abilities in both writing and speaking are preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Possessing knowledge of simulation, modeling, and statistical analysis software
- Be prepared to travel as needed
- Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first.
- Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE
- Technical knowledge with a focus on SQL and any programming language
- Database, Basic Programming, and User Interface course completion or continued study
- Part-time or full-time work experience in previous corporate environments
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
