Responsibilities:
A Flight Operations (Flight School) intern will support the accomplishment of divisional objectives and contribute to Delta Air Lines’ overall performance. A specific team, such as but not limited to Training and Standards, Line Operations, or the Chief Pilot Office, will be the interns’ workplace. All interns are expected to work together to accomplish a team assignment that will be delivered to Flight Operations Leadership at the end of the semester, even though each student will be given unique tasks.
The option to learn about additional departments, including but not limited to Technical Operations, In-Flight Service, Operations Customer Center, and Flight Safety, will be available to interns.
This is a paid internship that comes with extra benefits including off-duty standby travel anywhere in the Delta system. At Delta’s global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, interns will work.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.

- Outstanding communication abilities, the ability to quickly solve challenging problems, and the ability to retain discretion when handling sensitive material.
- Must possess in-depth understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Smartsheet.
- The capacity to manage and operate training equipment, gather and analyze flight planning data, comprehend and summarize new laws, and swiftly adapt to the sophisticated jet environment are just a few of the talents that must be demonstrated as being proficient.
- Be in good academic standing with your university and have a competitive GPA.
- Work must be done on-site in the Atlanta, Georgia, office. Be able to commit to the following dates for the internship: January 8 through April 19.
- Should be actively seeking either a Commercial Pilot Certificate or a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI), with a minimum of 150 total flight hours necessary.
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program with a focus on aviation.
