Responsibilities:

  • Use operations research, statistics, machine learning, forecasting, and other analytical methods to define and resolve complicated problems.
    develops applications, builds mathematical models, and supports the company.
  • Participates in the creation, development, and application of models.
  • Develops theories and plans tests to help business. utilizes statistics to assess experiments that will result in profitable business decisions.
  • Implement prototype solutions utilizing business information, statistical tools like R, programming languages like Python and Java, and
  • Gain a thorough understanding of fundamental airline economics to position yourself for future success.
  • Identifies and implements solutions that will drive revenue performance by working within revenue management and diverse commercial units to creatively address business problems by understanding business processes and airline economics.
  • Deliver polished presentations and communications on challenging subjects to a range of audiences.
  • Collaborating with information technology to put forth ideas and enhance systems.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.

  • The applicant must be pursuing a degree in operations research, industrial engineering, economics, applied mathematics, or a STEM-related discipline (MS or PhD).
  • A STEM-related field such as engineering, economics, or applied mathematics.
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, R, Java, or any appropriate programming language
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following technical disciplines: statistics, simulation, optimization, and machine learning
  • Prior work experience and education are preferred qualifications.
  • The candidate is working for a PhD in engineering, computer science, data science, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related subject.
  • An advantage would be having knowledge of the airline sector and experience handling complex issues.

Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications

  • Candidates who are hired will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a demonstrated talent for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving.
  • A plus is having solid experience with Python, R, creating complicated SQL queries, Big Data, or other data mining programs.
  • Willingness to act independently and own up to one’s duties.
