Responsibilities:
- Offer on-site, one-on-one coaching and assistance to customers.
- Determine the customer’s needs for health education through focused health assessment activities.
- Work together with clients to create health improvement programs, specify individualized, evidence-based goals, and assist clients in achieving those targets.
- Give clients the tools they need to actively influence their own health results.
- Assist the client in overcoming obstacles to improved health
- Take the helm in a range of health and wellness promotion initiatives, including group coaching, health challenges, and lectures.
- May conduct biometric examinations, such as finger sticks, blood pressure checks, body composition assessments, etc.
- Work with customers to improve clinical outcomes by collaborating on biometric data and motivational interviewing strategies.
- Offer assistance with site-wide health-related activities like open enrollment, wellness committee coordination, flu vaccine distribution, health fairs, etc.
Requirements:
- Strong clinical abilities with at least three years’ worth of experience in health counseling, health promotion, and education
- A bachelor’s degree in an area involving health. preferred: master’s degree.
- Current BLS, CPR, AED, and ACLS certification
- Dynamic presentation abilities and a high degree of energy are essential.

- The capacity to work professionally and pro-actively with the client and other matrix partners.
- Recognize and take ownership of a range of clinical goals and performance indicators. Create action plans that will deliver clinical value to the clients and customers.
- Solid computer and software application capabilities, as well as demonstrated administrative prowess.
Extra credit for:
- Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian, and Exercise Physiology
- Certified Health Education Specialist, or CHES
- Experience with or training in motivational interviewing.
- Diabetes experience and quitting smoking.
English-Spanish bilingualism is strongly preferred.
This position will cover several sites and is stationed on-site in Dallas, Texas.
