Responsibilities:

  • Capable of delving deeply into several business lines that employ related commodities and categories to take advantage of our supplier base and maximize cost, quality, performance, and efficiency.
  • Gain the trust of internal business partners; cultivate long-lasting relationships; and develop a solid grasp of the needs and priorities of suppliers and/or spend categories, as well as commodities and strategic business direction.
  • Create global sourcing strategies that meet internal clients’ goals, objectives, and business plans.
  • Use industry cost models and benchmarking studies to assess the competitive positioning and core competencies of suppliers; use the key findings to guide and assist the creation of the strategic sourcing plan.
  • Use RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid review, supplier consolidation, and negotiations to drive results.
  • Assist leaders in business and finance in identifying and implementing controllership enhancements and savings to maximize return on investment and total cost of ownership.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with guidance, education, and facilitation in creating and implementing sourcing strategies.
  • Consult the relevant subject matter experts, such as those in law, taxation, risk management, and information security, to assess and create plans for reducing third-party risk.

Requirements:

PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS

  • Over five years of expertise procuring mechanical commodities; – Knowledge of NPI development and hardware development environments.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to identify and drive changes – Experience controlling program strategy, ensuring end-to-end delivery, and reporting results to top leadership

DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS

A Master’s degree or MBA in management, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a similar discipline; – Experience leading process changes for at least two years
