Position Description:

This is the third of four finance analyst positions in an academic medical center with multiple sites and multiple specialties. By creating or reviewing general ledger entries, reports, schedules, worksheets, reconciliations, or other analyses, ensures the accuracy of financial and statistical data. gives direction to divisional and departmental tasks while working in a team atmosphere. actively conveys information to and presents it to different audiences. creates unique management financial information with a big institutional impact using reporting technologies. is acknowledged and trusted as a subject matter expert in a technical field related to compliance, accounting, or finance. develops, deploys, and supports financial reporting software and tools.

interprets and puts into practice fiscal compliance, policies, and laws, as well as accounting standards. Actively seeks for opportunities and makes suggestions for ways to boost profits while maintaining Mayo standards and lowering the company’s financial and legal risks. creates compliance or financial management solutions, as well as business models that are variable-sensitive. Supports department and institutional leadership with advanced analytical, financial, accounting, and compliance support. coaches, trains, and mentors employees. actively takes part in making decisions. leads and oversees multidisciplinary initiatives or workgroups.

Qualifications

• a bachelor’s degree with a focus in finance or accounting.
• The desired professional designation is a CMA or a current CPA.
• If you have a degree in accounting or finance, you must have at least six years of relevant experience in those fields.
• For bachelor’s degrees in other areas of business, you must have a minimum of nine years of relevant accounting or financial experience.
• Preferable prior pharmacy and 340B experience.
