As a member of this team, you will play an important role in our network transformation by creating a unified network across all lines of business and managing the technology that connects millions of our customers. The goal of this post is to work with development teams to create NPP RAN Planning software as a Product Owner (PO) in a SAFe Agile environment.

Duties:

  • Driving requirements, developing process flows, establishing priorities, and collaborating with NS, HQ, and regions to create Fuze Planning.
  • Providing health reports to provide visibility into design/traffic/pipeline concerns and implementing ways to resolve them.
  • Working with customers and other business stakeholders to define and prioritize team backlog stories.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on NPP, Atoll, and RF propagation tools.
  • Working with development and customers to shape the future of traffic/RF tools and provide a product that addresses both business and customer goals.
  • Working with team members and submarkets to push development modifications that will aid in the standardization of design configurations, equipment, and procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with Submarket Engineers, Headquarters, and Territorial peers to develop best practice guidelines based on their input.
  • Creating the algorithm to forecast RAN equipment network requirements.
  • Using the concept to provide Submarkets with project priority guidance.
  • On a daily basis, providing clear, concise, and detailed person-to-person communication with network team members.
  • Improving tool development efficiency and developing new methods for automating operations and reporting.
  • Creating the logic to forecast RAN network requirements.

  • This role is available at any Verizon Hub location in the United States.

You’ll need the following items:

  • A bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience are required.
  • Four or more years of relevant job experience is required.
  • Willingness to travel for up to 25% of the time.
  • Readiness to work a rotating schedule (shifts) that includes nights and weekends as needed by the business.

It’s even better if you have at least one of the following:

  • An engineering or computer science degree.
  • Leadership abilities to drive projects to completion while remaining technically competent in RF/Traffic.
  • Knowledge of LTE, CDMA, and EVDO networks, as well as their performance.
  • Understanding of equipment operation and network standards.
  • Expertise with Nokia/ALU and/or Ericsson engineering and operations.
  • Understanding of equipment capacity and future capability.
  • Capability to create reports and manipulate data with Tableau.
  • Programming experience in languages such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, and VBA to promote automation of engineering tools and procedures.
  • VPI, MPT, and other capacity planning and RF/Performance tools are required.
  • Capability to diagnose and solve various system and interconnection faults, as well as deliver easy and effective summary advice.
  • Understanding of network capacity and performance, as well as the ability to create network strategies.
  • Wireless systems, digital communication, and traffic engineering knowledge are required.
  • Understanding of mapping software.
  • Capability to investigate and implement alternative solutions to challenging challenges.
  • Flexibility in attempting various solutions to problems and effortlessly adapting to a dynamic, changing corporate environment.
