To maintain the reliability and integrity of the LAN and WAN network services, our client is looking for a Cisco Network Engineer. A seasoned Cisco Network Engineer with extensive knowledge of network design, deployment, network operations, device support, and Tier II troubleshooting will be the perfect applicant. Must have practical knowledge with Cisco Infrastructure design, installation, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
The Network Engineer will also take part in setting up, maintaining, supporting, and enhancing all network hardware, software, and communication systems. A fast and accurate analysis and repair of network software and hardware issues will also be performed by this person.

Responsibilities:

  • To determine your network’s short- and long-term capacity demands, collaborate with IT management and department heads.
  • Own accountability for completing the tasks allocated to you. Promote outcomes.
  • Make and keep documentation for processes, service records, network setup, and network mapping.
  • For network administration, usage, and disaster recovery, develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and related training programs.
  • Understanding and utilizing the ITIL framework will help the company implement tried-and-true processes and procedures while balancing the demands for change and stability through established SOPs.

Purchase & Deployment

  • Create and implement LANs and wireless networks for the business, including hardware such as appliances, routers, switches, and UPSs.
  • To stay up to date with advances in the networking sector, conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards.
  • Oversee the upgrading of hardware, software, and equipment, both new and old.
  • To safeguard network products and services, communicate with suppliers, outsourcers, and contractors.

Operational administration

  • Set up networks to function efficiently and dependably in order to support business goals and procedures.
  • Keep an eye on network performance and solve issues as they arise.
  • Oversee the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of peripherals, software, and hardware for end-user workstations.
  • Ensure that there is network connectivity throughout the entire company.
  • Practice network asset management, which includes keeping track of the inventory of network components, accompanying paperwork, and technical standards.
  • LAN/WAN network utilization can be evaluated using monitoring tools. Create and distribute suggestions for handling capacity requirements.
  • Use established standards, processes, and procedures to solve corporate difficulties.
  • Full-scale network administration, project management, and systems analysis.

Requirements:

Skills:

  • Supporting and troubleshooting Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP); configuring Quality of Service and VLANs; Layer 3 switching, including IP multicast; and troubleshooting experience over wide area networks are all skills that can be learned through experience.
  • comprehensive knowledge of numerous network services, including NAT, DHCP, DNS, NTP, and HSRP/VRRP.
  • Knowledge of the following hardware types: 29/39xx, ISR 4xxx routers, and 29xx, 38xx, 45xx, 68xx, 7xxx Catalyst switches, Nexus. Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches.
  • Good knowledge of the architecture, design, implementation, and administration of Cisco wireless.
  • Good command of TACACS and/or Radius.
  • Knowledge of networking applications including Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Solarwinds, and Infoblox NetMRI.
  • Working knowledge of corporate ticketing systems (Service Now).
  • Advanced knowledge of network installation, configuration, migration, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Operating in a worldwide context with a diversity of network equipment kinds.
  • Working knowledge of both internal and external environments.
  • Mentor the members of the engineering team.
