We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to join our distributed team of senior engineers in the United States. In this role, you will lead the development of software solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards and adhere to agile development best practices. Your expertise in Microsoft Azure, configuration management, and programming/scripting will be essential as you mentor other engineers and contribute to the growth of our cutting-edge applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of software solutions with a focus on real users.
- Adhere to agile development best practices.
- Implement unit tests using test-driven development (TDD) and relevant design patterns.
- Mentor and support other engineers in the team.
- Proactively stay updated on new best practices and technologies.
- Manage communication and expectations effectively within the team.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to suggest, design, and launch new features.
- Maintain code integrity and organization.
- Review code pull requests in a CI/CD environment.
- Review requirements and provide input.
Requirements:
Required Experience:
- Professional experience in managing production environments in Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
- Some programming and/or scripting language experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Experience with Amazon AWS.
- Familiarity with serverless technologies.
- Previous experience working with North American software companies.
