Responsibilities:
The creation, testing, implementation, and support of Delta’s cloud-based security controls will fall under the purview of the Associate Security Engineer, Cloud. Numerous security control barriers have been installed in numerous AWS accounts by the Cloud Security Engineering team. The DevSecOps methodology is supported by a wide variety of technologies. The engineer must have previous Python development experience and at least some familiarity with AWS. The engineer will assist in supporting the Cloud Security Engineering team’s unique AWS solutions that were created in support of Delta’s information security program. The engineer will be in charge of the following tasks foremost:
- Attend daily scrum meetings and work together with the rest of the team.
- Custom CFN Hooks, CFN Guard Rules, and AWS Config Rules implementation, deployment, and support. Investigate and fix issues with the current controls. When necessary, test and implement improvements and fixes.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- Experience working as a software engineer or in a related technical engineering position for 0–2 years
- Within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure, have experience developing software
- Practical knowledge of Python development
- knowledge of GIT, build tools, and source control (GitHub, Bitbucket, or another service)
- Working using Agile approaches in the workplace
- working knowledge of DevOps processes, tools, and principles in an enterprise technology environment
- developing CI/CD pipelines, using test driven development, and having a working understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
- basic understanding of application security concepts.
- Ability to express oneself clearly when speaking with colleagues, business analysts, and subject matter experts.
