Position Description:
Responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve business problems at American Airlines by participating in all phases of the development process from inception to transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, and using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct, and test reusable objects while also improving the codebase.

- Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and other developers, as well as internal customers, to identify needs and design solutions that meet business objectives.
- Using domain-driven design and test-driven development, maintains and improves existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms.
- Complex issues are troubleshooted and debugged; solutions are identified and implemented.
- Aids in the development of precise project specifications, requirements, and estimates; ensures that activities and projects are executed on schedule and within budget.
- Works with software architects to ensure that decisions suit the long-term demands of the company.
- Contributes to the establishment of coding standards and follows best practices and security guidelines
- Investigates and deploys new technologies in order to improve current procedures, security, and performance.
Everything you’ll need to succeed
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology, information systems (CIS/MIS), engineering, or a similar technical subject is required, or comparable experience/training.
- 2 years of expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
