Responsibilities:

The PCB Designer’s main duties will be as follows:

• Examine and put into practice the PCB design trends and procedures you have learned about that are relevant to Apple’s fundamental technologies.
• Evaluating the PCB design objectives for packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance by conducting design feasibility studies.
• Helping other PCB designers to solve difficult design issues.
• Putting PCB design trade-offs forward for resolution and implementation to the engineering design team.
• Performing challenging CAD and CAE tasks that call for substantial skill and knowledge of the capabilities of the equipment, application techniques, and design constraints.
• Before releasing the product to manufacturing, it is important to comprehend Apple’s Design Standards for Manufacturing and Test, the criteria for a good design, and work to meet those criteria. Understanding the PCB technology and process developments that are driving them as well as how they apply to Apple’s designs.
• Maintaining technical communication between manufacturing, engineering, test, and EMC engineering. working with fabrication and manufacturing vendors to solve PCB design problems. Participates fervently in the development of Apple’s Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Participating in and making recommendations for PCB design standards and specifications with regard to Product design, Electrical design, Manufacturing, and various regulatory agency requirements in order to identify design trade-offs required to achieve design objectives and produce high-quality PCBs at the most affordable price and within the allotted time frame.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience designing PCBs; familiarity with Allegro Software tools
