Position Description:
Responsible for driving NDC product innovation and delivering on that vision through strong connections with our technology providers and IT partners.
What you intend to do
- Develops and manages all aspects of New Distribution Capabilities (NDC) implementations in collaboration with travel agencies, GDSs, and technology providers.
- Collaborates with travel agencies, sales team members and end users, IT, technology providers, and a wide range of other business stakeholders.
- Projects are prioritized, business analysis methodologies are used to obtain business and technical requirements, and project documentation is provided.
- As teams work toward goals, she keeps stakeholders informed and communicates outcomes, learnings, and modifications.
- Product subject matter expertise is developed.
- Understands technical and business trade-offs that allow teams to provide value more quickly.
- Leads from the business with the goal of ensuring that procedural and technical details are addressed properly. Must be willing to travel for business when necessary (minimal)
Everything you’ll need to succeed
- Education and prior job experience are required as minimum qualifications.
- 3 years of relevant airline/reservation/sales experience
- 2 years of experience in Project Management and/or Product Development
- Agile experience, product ownership, project planning and delivery
Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications
- Ability to comprehend technical concepts rapidly and communicate them to a non-technical audience
- Experience creating and growing internal, external, and cross-functional relationships has resulted in highly developed interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage competing priorities and deadlines successfully
- Sabre PSS, Airline, Contact Center, GDS, and NDC knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, create priorities, and manage day-to-day product evolution Excellent skill in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (s)
- Must be detail-oriented and well-organized.
