Responsibilities:
- Helping to develop new product concepts, technology, manufacturing processes, and integration strategies
- Creating, producing, and assembling 3D models of potential new product prototypes
- Creating test facilities and vehicles and conducting tests to evaluate various design choices
- Integrating new features and technology into existing products to assess performance and dependability
- Data collection, analysis, and presentation to guide important design decisions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in 3D CAD modeling for industry (UG preferable)
- Basic understanding of materials (plastics, metals, glass, composites)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (such as CNC, injection molding, and shaping)
- Design characterisation, DOEs (design of experiments), and failure analysis expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with statistical software
- Understanding of the finite element theory
- Superior communication abilities
- Building precision models and test cars with attention to detail
- Knowledge of MATLAB and Python
