Responsibilities:

• Determine the operational and embodied carbon of Amazon building designs, then put methods in place to lower the material intensity of Amazon facilities.
• Develop and assess innovative design solutions that can lower our buildings’ carbon intensity. · Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in sustainability and energy to assist project teams and outside stakeholders in integrating sustainability and zero carbon solutions within building design and construction.
• Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to plan, organize, and carry out measures to minimize, track, and enhance Amazon’s building operations’ use of water, energy, and trash.
• Ensure that all engineering and architectural specifications for every kind of building are coordinated.Manage the coordination of design requirements for architecture, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) as needed to enable the presentation of sustainable designs to all project participants.
• Examine each net zero carbon design’s energy savings, operational and embodied carbon reductions, cost savings, and financial savings, and provide options to management for implementation.
• Examine and convey the financial effects of initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL EQUALITIES

• More than seven years of cross-functional experience working with both tech and non-tech teams
• Over five years of experience managing a team
• Over seven years of experience delivering cross-functional projects
• Experience managing programs or projects for at least seven years
• Expertise in formulating program requirements and identifying improvements using data and metrics
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, or a closely related discipline
• More than seven years of experience creating and overseeing technical documents (such as construction drawings, RFIs, design bulletins, and supplemental training) for field implementation
• Expertise in both new construction and retrofit design building projects for more than seven years
• Proficiency in formulating precise program specifications and utilizing data and analytics to promote programmatic adoption
• Mastery of Bluebeam Revu and the Microsoft Office Suite
• A rudimentary understanding of the Autodesk Suite (Revit, BIM360, Navisworks)

DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in overseeing, evaluating, and conveying outcomes to upper management
• Registration for a Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly recommended.
• Perfect organization and verbal and writing communication abilities
