Responsibilities:
- Work in a cutting-edge Big Data environment with vast volumes of digital data (Web, apps, APIs) and complex technologies.
- Identifying business issues, gathering training datasets, evaluating data, modeling, validating, and providing NLP models are the steps in creating NLP-driven solutions.
- Build everything from simple reports to sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms to improve the web and mobile app experiences of our customers.
- Work with product owners to implement a data-driven revolution in product and content design.
- Test, implement, and deploy modeling solutions to production systems in cooperation with tech partners.
- To convert complex behavioral data into useful information, develop insights into client behavior and provide new techniques.
- Utilize the power of closed loop through the Amex network to make more informed and pertinent decisions.
- Utilize big data and machine learning to innovate by creating newer and better methods.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhDs having practical expertise utilizing advanced analytical and machine learning approaches in a quantitative subject (such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, operation research, etc.). a PhD and relevant professional experience NLP is a huge benefit.
- Proficiency with databases (SQL, HIVE, or equivalent) and proficiency with an analytical language (Python, R, or equivalent). SAS knowledge is a benefit but not necessary.
- Extensive knowledge of boosting and other machine learning and statistics algorithms. A plus is having knowledge of data visualization.
- Ability to translate business issues into mathematical programming issues, use outside ideas and resources (from academia and/or other industries) to create a solution, and give business insights are all examples of this.
- The capacity to perform well in a team environment
- Independent thinker who can multitask, is well-organized, and pays close attention to detail
- Powerful communication abilities
- The capacity to pick things up fast and work independently on complex, unstructured undertakings
- Integration skills with global, cross-functional business partners
- Competent with PowerPoint and Excel for presentations
Salary: $95,000 to $165,000 per year including bonuses and benefits
