Position Description:

As a Data Engineer, you’ll be a part of one of our platform teams or mission-driven squads. All of our products depend heavily on data, therefore your contributions would be much appreciated. Due to the fact that all of our work is done online, you can be anywhere in the world. It is a full-time job.

Responsibilities

• To address issues with corporate processes, users, and products, design, implement, and support data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems.
• Create, test, and manage data models in close collaboration with product engineers.
• Work with stakeholders and support engineers to ensure that our data infrastructure complies with ever-changing needs
• Create a data analytics and research platform in close collaboration with analysts.
• Participate in engineering activities from planning and coordination through delivery and solution of challenging engineering issues.
• Take charge of finding technological solutions to problems with data quality and workflow.
• Create and evaluate technical papers, such as those for design, development, and modification.

For us, the ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:

• 3+ years of data engineering or comparable job experience
• knowledge of Python and SQL for developing data pipelines, as well as of designing data models and data warehouses
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design Knowledge of the following: Airflow, BigQuery, Postgres, Kubernetes, and dbt
