Robert Half Talent Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with a Bay Area client. Completely remote.

Responsibilities:

-Design, build, and launch extremely efficient and dependable data pipelines to move data across multiple platforms such as Data Warehouses, online caches, and real-time systems.

-Develop data expertise and control data quality for assigned areas of ownership

-Create strategic alliances with global and cross-functional teams.

-Utilize data and business principles to address large-scale web, mobile, and data infrastructure issues.

Requirements:

-A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.

-6+ years of experience in Python (development), SQL, ETL, data pipelines using Hive, Spark, Presto, and so on.

-Experience with large data sets

-6+ years of experience with Schema Design and Data Modeling

-6+ years of experience with workflow management engineers such as airflow, Google Cloud Composer, Luigi, AWS step functions, Azure Data Factory, or a similar product.

-Experience with cloud or on-premises Big Data/MPP analytics platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, Teradata, or others.
