Responsibilities:

Create and manage pipelines for streaming data used in client reporting.
Create T-SQL to load, extract, and transform data from source systems.
SSIS packages and SQL Server stored procedures should be analyzed, designed, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained.
Oversee the administration and infrastructure of reporting tools.
Take part in database system design reviews to learn more about data technologies and Lytx’s implementation of them.
Work together on significant projects with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Help with the conversion of old code and reports to SQL Server and/or Snowflake cloud-based solutions.
As a Data Engineering representative, support development teams and take part in estimate, backlog trimming, and other Agile tasks.
Take part in the development, testing, and research of the next generation of data engine platforms.
Create and direct a long-term plan for persistent data storage and data pipelines.
Process reporting and data flow modeling
As allocated, carry out additional tasks.

Requirements:

What You Require

A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, analytics, or a similar field of study and experience
three or more years of expertise in the field creating software or providing OLTP or data warehousing solutions for large-scale businesses.
three or more years of experience working as a developer, primarily designing relational databases
demonstrated proficiency with MS SQL Server or another RDBMS
a demonstrated ability to develop in T-SQL and ETL, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Knowledge of concepts or background in database performance
familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and agile software development
Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
experience in a fast-growing company with a track record of producing high-caliber technological results.
strong attention to detail and organizing abilities
Self-driven, involved, and responsible

Good to Have:

familiarity with BI platforms and reporting systems like Tableau, SSRS, and others
basic familiarity with streaming data solutions such as RedShift, Spark, Kafka, Nifi, Flink, SSIS, or others
Cloud data warehouse systems (Snowflake, AWS recommended) that employ NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB
Basic familiarity with Python
