Takes part in designing, building, and managing large-scale data structures and pipelines, as well as efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows. Helps build large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data that can be used to draw conclusions and make reports. Uses what they know about the key business drivers to do their own work. Uses knowledge, judgment, and past experiences to help solve problems that are not too hard. Works with the client team to change data and build automated processes that use algorithms and models.

Pay Range

The usual range of pay for this job is:

  • Minimum: 70,000
  • Maximum: 140,000

Please keep in mind that this range is the pay range for all jobs in the same job grade as this position. The actual salary offer will depend on a lot of things, like where the job is.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or work experience that is equivalent
  • Strong ability to solve problems and think critically.
  • Strong abilities to work with and talk to people on other teams.
  • 3 or more years of related experience that got more difficult over time.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including how to use formulas, pivot tables, and analytical functions.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and programming languages to look at and change data sets from different sources.
  • Being able to understand complicated systems and figure out how to solve hard analytical problems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft’s SQL Server Management Studio, Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL, NoSQL, or something similar.


Ideal Qualifications

  • Master’s in computer science or a similar field Knowledge of the Hadoop architecture and HDFS commands, as well as experience designing and optimizing queries against HDFS data.
  • Have experience building solutions for transforming and processing data.
  • Has a lot of experience with large-scale search applications and building data pipelines that can handle a lot of data.
