Position Description:

As a member of the Operations and Business Insights (OBI) team, you will work as a data analyst for the Monetization and Business Planning team. Your responsibilities will include developing data solutions that influence how go-to-market decisions are made, gaining a thorough understanding of pricing, and developing your ability to deliver end-to-end data solutions that promote business growth. You may anticipate being sponsored for your efforts, receiving assistance for your professional growth, and being urged to be yourself at work.

Responsibilities

  • Create data frameworks and analytical answers in front of business questions. Using your understanding of Microsoft products, adopt a customer-focused approach and foster trust with clients and/or stakeholders.
  • Choose the best techniques for integrating data by applying expertise to the data sources. And answer professional queries and advise colleagues on remedies.
  • Use knowledge and skills in analysis to create tales about your analysis using dashboards, reports, internal forums, and other mediums. Promote the use of data tools for enhanced decision-making by collaborating with teams within the company.
  • Find, use, and spread strategies that increase productivity in key tasks, as well as the best ways to share and scale discoveries. Recognize how analytical models relate to one another, mentor less-experienced engineers as necessary, and deliver findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Use collaboration between teams to establish alignment and promote the use of suggested data sources and analysis techniques. To recognize and resolve the impact of revised guidelines on work activities and results, maintain competence in privacy requirements.

Minimum and Necessary Qualifications

  • a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, analytics, data science, engineering, computer science, business, economics, or a related field AND 4+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis; OR a Master’s degree in math, analytics, data science, engineering, computer science, business, economics, or a related field AND 2+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
  • Proficiency with Power BI and Azure Analytic Services, as well as knowledge of SQL, Spark, and any other scripting language (such as Python, C#, etc.).

Extra or Preferable Requirements

  • a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, analytics, data science, engineering, computer science, business, economics, or a related field AND 6+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR a Master’s degree in math, analytics, data science, engineering, computer science, business, economics, or a related field AND 4+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business
  • capable of setting priorities for a variety of projects and deadlines.
  • the ability to give insights for service optimization, improved product experience, and COGS reduction through big data pipelines and flows.
  • a proven track record of gathering needs from a variety of stakeholders and delivering data, analysis, insight, and visualizations with excellence, enthusiasm, and precision.
  • Outstanding analytical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to combine data from various sources in order to make data-driven decisions.
