Position Description:
This position is part of the American Airlines Credit Union’s Branch Operations team. The function is in charge of developing strong relationships with American Airlines Credit Union members, which is essential for understanding member needs and proposing appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
What you intend to do
- Opening new accounts, selling and processing Credit Union services to new and existing members
- Deposits and loan payments are processed.
- Provide Notary Services as needed Handle various monetary transactions and account information Promote and promote favorable name recognition for the Credit Union
- Collaborate with branch/department managers to capitalize on cross-selling opportunities.
- In a timely manner, investigate member inquiries and give solutions as needed.
- Keep constant knowledge of all branch operations and duties in order to provide adequate support and coverage at all times.
- In compliance with Credit Union policies and government requirements, implement and enforce internal control and security measures.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, service excellence, and relationship building within the covered branches and throughout the organization.
- As allocated by the manager, conduct loan interviews, processing, and payout tasks.
- Depending on the job location, you may be required to work a rotating Saturday schedule.
- Further responsibilities may be allocated.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of all account and associated information used in their work, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
Everything you’ll need to succeed
- GED or high school diploma
- Must be physically able to work at the allocated branch location.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a closely related field, or comparable financial services experience
- Prior banking or credit union experience is required.
- Prior work experience in a service-oriented setting
Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) obtained by job experience or study and hands-on use of the software
- To qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), you must pass an FAA criminal background check.
- Capability to provide exceptional member service
- Ability to work in a service-oriented environment and a drive to cross-sell Credit Union products and services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, handle various duties, and function as a vital part of a team Ability to engage professionally with all employees and membersSpanish fluency is a plus
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to execute basic math calculations and analyze data Ability to self-motivate with great organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Capability to maintain acceptable performance and attendance
- Capability to pass pre-hire compliance checks with American Airlines and Credit Union
