Responsibilities:
As a patient care advocate and customer service representative, you will:
Manage incoming calls and assist patients with outgoing calls about their home delivery advantage. Describe the benefits of prescription home delivery services (mail order). Determine the needs of the patient and explain the cost and convenience of receiving prescriptions by home delivery. Complete and accurately record patient contacts and business transactions in the company databases. Make phone calls and send faxes to prescribers on behalf of patients who consent to receiving their medications at home. Manage a caseload of documents well to speed up the processing of medication delivery requests.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES
- Members are updated on conversion requests and given shipment status
- Make it easier for home delivery of the needed meds
- Call and fax the doctor’s office on behalf of the patient to get prescriptions and send them to the pharmacist for filling.
- Get fresh prescriptions from the doctor’s office and note the outcome of the approval process
- Respond to incoming calls from medical offices
- To maintain the standard of the home delivery process, document HIPAA compliance, and minimize potential legal risks, make sure proper documentation is entered into the relevant systems for all contacts (internal/external).
- Address any difficulties or questions that can prohibit an order from being shipped.
- Maintain high standards for performance and quality across all transactions.
- Additional tasks and special projects as needed

- Improve the patients’ understanding of their pharmacy benefits. Answer patient calls professionally by utilizing the information you’ve learned via training, your problem-solving abilities, and the assistance of your team.
- Organize our patient encounters for us. During calls, use your superior listening abilities to rapidly ascertain the core of a patient’s inquiry and record all conversations in real time.
- Make sure patients have access to the finest information. Determine patient concerns, empathize with them, and, if required, appropriately escalate the situation.
Requirements:
- Need for a private and peaceful workspace
- GED or a high school diploma is required.
- Preferred experience working remotely
- Healthcare Call Center Experience Preferred: 2-3 Years
- Working remotely and from home
- Computer savvy – Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office
- Superior communication abilities (verbal and written)
- Ability to communicate adequately when requesting a prescription
- The capacity to exhibit outstanding listening and customer service abilities
- The capacity to learn rapidly, solve issues, and make decisions in a changing work environment.
