Responsibilities:

  • Serves all customers with courtesy and upholds goodwill with both internal and external parties.
  • Ensures the success of our company by working cooperatively
  • In charge of answering to the demands of those wishing to travel, use cargo, or baggage service, and offering renown customer service
  • Operates a computerized point-of-sale system, handles bookings, boarding, luggage service, and handles any complaints or issues pertaining to any part of ticketing and check-in.
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a courteous and kind manner are among the responsibilities. takes care of travel vouchers, coupons, cash, checks, and credit cards as payment for tickets. balances daily transactions, computes charges, and produces change. is in charge of excess or insufficiency
  • Luggage and cargo checks in. Answers phone to give consumers information, address concerns or issues, and offer assistance when needed. promptly and effectively completes the paperwork needed to board the aircraft
  • Focuses on improper treatment of customers resulting from oversales, canceled or delayed flights, and misplaced, damaged, or delayed luggage. promptly and within the parameters set by the company resolves such issues
  • Responds to any general questions from customers and other terminal visitors, and provides up-to-date and accurate information on fares, schedules, reservations, and airplane arrival/departure times.
  • Fulfills the company’s requirements for forms and reports.
  • As needed, drafts reports on irregularities and complaints
  • The size and structure of the station may cause duties to change.
  • Must be able to fulfill all physical parameters specified in this description.
  • May carry out additional tasks as assigned by team leaders.

Requirements:

Wisdom, Proficiency, and Handicap

  • Possession of the necessary typing and/or computer keyboard speed to fulfill job requirements
  • Capable of reading documents, adhering to directions, and picking up on and comprehending ticketing procedures, laws, and norms
  • Possibility of interacting with the public, working as a team, and handling pressure
  • A minimum of an 80% average in the Customer Service Agent training program is required, along with an evaluation period.
  • Be able to recognize potentially dangerous circumstances and respond appropriately to emergencies
  • In order to complete airplane turns quickly, one must operate under strict time limits.
  • According to the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Labor Agreement, you must maintain a neat look.
  • Must be able to complete all job duties in a constrained amount of space.
  • Need to be proficient in verbal communication by phone, in person, and via public address systems.
  • Need to be proficient both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to transmit orders and information either orally or using radio technology.

Certification and Licensing

  • Obtaining a SIDA badge and fulfilling all airport regulations in the area are prerequisites.
  • Obtaining a Customs Seal and fulfilling all qualifications to work foreign flights may be mandated by Station Leadership.
  • Qualities of the Body
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 70 pounds as well as repeatedly lift and/or move weights weighing between 40 and 50 pounds onto raised platforms are requirements.
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time is required.
  • The capacity to wear the required uniforms must be maintained.

Additional Requirements

  • Keeps oneself presentable in accordance with the company’s appearance standards as outlined in the set rules.
  • Requires citizenship in the United States or the ability to work in the country as specified by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Age requirement: at least 18
  • Ability to adhere to the company’s attendance requirements as outlined in predetermined rules
  • Capacity to work overtime and/or shift work
  • While not necessary, proficiency in another language is preferred.
