The Cloud Engineering team will get reports from this job.
As a member of the talented team charged with creating scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based services for our hybrid platform-as-a-service (PaaS), you will also gain experience and exposure to a variety of other open-source products as needed.
Your main duties will be to provide technological improvements to the American Express Cloud platform, with an emphasis on creating automation for the delivery of highly scalable cloud services.
- Build scalable, high-performing API and orchestration solutions in collaboration with the rest of the API engineering team, the UI engineering team, the quality engineering team, and product management.
- Do some research and put the most modern software and frameworks that support lean product development to use.
- Implement middleware and API solutions that can connect to NSQL, platforms, and partner systems.
- Use the best programming techniques, such as usability patterns, code style conformance, integration, unit testing, and code review, to create maintainable code.
- Develop software with pride and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Minimum Requirements
- AWS, GCP, and private cloud providers have experience.
- Knowledge of creating REST APIs in Java or Google’s GoLang.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker, CI/CD, and other cloud engineering technologies.
- Outstanding coworker. a good ability to communicate.
- Knowledge of NSQL databases
- Understand agile application development techniques. general knowledge of QE procedures.

Salary: $70,000 to $135,000 per year, plus bonuses and benefits
