In a call center or work from home setting, the call center representative will be in charge of promptly and accurately answering health-related inquiries from patients, insurance providers, and centers.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday job. We are open for business from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST. Workers must report to work during our regular business hours, which are 10:00 am to 6:30 pm EST. Given the demands of the business, working occasional weekends or overtime may be required.

A paid one to two-week course is available. Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST is when training will take place.Your home will serve as the virtual training location.

All remote workers must abide by the telecommuter policy of UnitedHealth Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming calls from healthcare providers (doctor offices, clinics), determining the kind of support required (e.g., benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, treatment authorizations, benefit explanations).
  • Prioritize fixing problems at the initial call, accessing intricate computer systems to determine the issue’s status and respond to the caller appropriately.
  • Educate people and respond to inquiries in a way that fosters trust with service providers and their employees.
  • Finish the paperwork required to monitor provider problems and make it easier to report general patterns.
  • This is a rewarding and hard role. The goal of your interactions with providers is to build a rapport with them. To help our providers and customers as best you can in a high volume scenario, you’ll need to become knowledgeable about our many products and the varied degrees of benefits that each one offers

Requirements:

Essential Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Must be at least eighteen years old.
  • One or more years of experience in customer service
  • Able to work 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST, which is our regular business hours. Given the demands of the business, working occasional weekends or overtime may be required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a call center or in healthcare for at least a year Telecommuting

Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain the security of all company-sensitive documents (if appropriate)
  • It is necessary to set up a specific workspace that is private and isolated from other living spaces.
  • Must be able to use an existing high-speed internet service or get a high-speed internet connection approved by UnitedHealth Group at their place of residence.
