Position Description
How can you determine whether you are working with an intermediate or senior software engineer? How would you recommend that the engineer improve?
As a Talent Manager, you will collaborate with our Talent Operations team to define and oversee how we evaluate and assist in the development of our potential and current technical talent. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with software development and engineering management, as well as a passion for mentoring and training other engineers using measurable frameworks.
How You Will Act
- Define and continuously optimize at scale our technical evaluation and scorecard strategy.
- Develop frameworks for evaluating the seniority levels of technical talent.
- Document training programs to demonstrate how talent can continue to advance their careers and skills.
- Drive the strategy for talent engagement with their project teams and other SalsaMobi talents.
- Design and implement performance management, leadership development, talent evaluation, and succession planning programs.
- Create and implement a yearly review procedure for salary evaluation and contract renegotiation.
- Provide pertinent feedback and aid in the development of more efficient and effective talent acquisition strategies
- Facilitate periodic check-ins with our clients in order to receive performance feedback on the talent we have working for them.
- When necessary, promptly address all performance issues and determine the optimal course of action.
- Suggestions for enhancing talent retention
- Contribute to the product management of our talent and client portal.
Qualifications\Requirements
- Two years of previous hands-on software development experience
- Three years of experience as a manager of software engineering
- Experience with technical recruiting and career advancement in engineering.
- Superior interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational development skills.
- Utilization of applicant tracking systems
- Bilingual (fluency in English and Spanish) is a plus.
