Position Description:

As a WellSense Customer Care Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for our stakeholders by providing accurate and comprehensive information about our various health plans to current and prospective members, providers, and internal customers.   • Utilize appropriate resource materials to own interactions in order to effectively and accurately interpret respond to, and resolve customer inquiries and problems while delivering exceptional service in order to build customer loyalty, increase customer retention, and achieve best-in-service goals and objectives.
  • Respond to a large number of incoming member and provider calls (Call duration can range from five minutes to at least 45 minutes.)
  • Maintain knowledge of WellSense contracts and policies, and interpret data effectively.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to handle challenging calls with courtesy and competence.
  • Document calls based on departmental guidelines
  • Work with peers to resolve issues and encourages teamwork
  • Meet or exceed the department’s quality and output objectives
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

  • A prior professional work history, preferably in customer service
  • We will train you if you have never worked in a call center before.

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Superior oral and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a large volume of change requests, multitask, and prioritize work.
  • Capability to make sound and reasonable business decisions based on established criteria and rules.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office products
  • Highly desirable: bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or another language
  • With a high-speed internet connection, it is possible to work from home with ease.
