Position Description:

The US Credit Cards & Unsecured Lending (CCUL) Credit Representative I aids in processing credit decisions for small-business credit card applications as well as TD credit card user applications.

Position Requirements

  • Handles and makes decisions regarding basic application processing; • Establishes new credit lines and increases credit lines; • Verifies information to ensure data integrity by comparing findings to credit applications and system information; • Assists in comparing and ensuring the accuracy of information in the system and applications.
  • Orders, obtains, and makes use of credit reports and other pertinent credit history data • Assists with small business and individual customer credit decision processes Communicates with customers as necessary to obtain information, explain credit decisions, and address other pertinent issues
  • Reviews findings and results provided by the underwriting system Responds to inquiries made by phone, written, and other means regarding account balances, interest rates, charges, statement requests, and other matters as necessary; resolves issues as soon as possible, within the scope of their authority, defers for further investigation, or refers to management or dispute resolution as necessary; and, when necessary, authorizes finance and other charge givebacks.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent; • 0–2 years of similar experience; • The ability to analyze data and computer abilities necessary to use an automated underwriting system; • Being organized and meticulous; Good verbal and writing communication skills; limited credit authorization where appropriate; ability to operate in a high-volume, deadline-driven workplace; and availability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends are all required.
