An intriguing remote contract position is available at Robert Half seeking an attorney with experience in private equity and investment management. A large law firm or fund counsel experience is preferred. The candidate should have recent experience editing and creating sophisticated practical guidance and annotated forms related to investment management practice, fund formation, transactional matters, and regulatory/compliance considerations.

Time of Start: ASAP

Hours: 20 hours a week, part-time

The task can be done remotely from any location in the United States.

Duration: six months, with an extension perhaps

Hourly wage: $45

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years’ experience working on private fund establishment and compliance as an attorney for investment management.
• Current and in-depth understanding of investment management trends and practice, along with familiarity with the workflow of investment management attorneys.
• Outstanding writing, editing, drafting, and legal analysis abilities.
• Capabilities for responsive and successful communication.
• the capacity to finish tasks set by the deadline.
• Must be able to operate in a detail-oriented atmosphere, self-motivated, and organized.
• Legal education from a recognized institution and membership in good standing in at least one state bar
• A licensed lawyer
• Analytical, legal research, and writing abilities are required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written, spoken, and listening) skills
• Legal counsel and in-house expertise
• An understanding of private equity in practice
• Communication Capabilities
• Proficiency with regulations and pertinent compliance
• Demonstrated familiarity with the procedures for loan renewal
• Editing background
• Writing Techniques
• Highly preferred is experience with LexisNexis.
• Prior experience in the field of investment management
• Strong grasp of transactional matters
• Juris Doctor
• Excellent academic background and recommendations
