We are looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to work with our AI Security team and leverage AI to provide core services that improve the efficacy and efficiency of security systems.

Responsibilities:

You will be in charge of investigating, simulating, creating, and executing cutting-edge AI-based security solutions at Amazon scale in your role as Senior Applied Scientist. In order to create cutting-edge technologies that address some of our most challenging security issues, you will work with applied scientists, security engineers, software engineers, internal stakeholders, and partners. You will also create clear-cut solutions that assist builder teams at Amazon throughout their software development process, allowing Amazon companies to quicken the rate of innovation in order to satisfy our customers.

Principal duties of the position

• Investigate and create precise, scalable solutions to fundamental security issues.
• Take the lead and collaborate with engineers and applied scientists to advance technical design and modeling for challenging issues.
• Provide paved path solutions and security tooling to help builder teams during the software development process.

Requirements:

PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS

• PhD in mathematics, statistics, engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, or a related quantitative subject – At least five years of experience developing machine learning models for use in business applications
• Proficiency with modeling tools, including but not limited to R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, and scipy.
• Programming experience in a language similar to Java, C++, or Python

DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) – Outstanding ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficiency in converting business requirements into technological specifications
• Strong aptitude for addressing problems and the capacity to function in an unclear and dynamic environment – Deep passion for investigating and creating innovative technologies that have a significant impact on customers
