Responsibilities:

  • Defines and resolves complicated issues with the use of analytical models and quantitative analysis, combining methods from operations research, statistics, machine learning, and forecasting.
  • Creates apps, builds mathematical models, and supports the company.
  • Takes part in the creation, prototyping, development, and application of models.
  • Creates tests and formulates hypotheses to assist business. uses statistics to assess tests that will lead to profitable conclusions.
  • Use statistical tools like R, business insights, and programming languages like Python and Java to implement prototype solutions.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of aviation economics and position yourself for future growth.
  • Identifies and implements strategies that will boost revenue performance by using knowledge of airline economics and business procedures to creatively address business problems within revenue management and other commercial groups.
  • Present and communicate professionally to a variety of audiences on difficult subjects.
  • Collaborates with IT to enhance systems and put prototype solutions into practice.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Education and Previous Work Experience

  • Degree in computer science, data science, applied mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or another quantitative field, either a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, R, Java, or another appropriate language
  • At least a basic understanding of these four areas of expertise: statistics, machine learning, optimization, and simulation

Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience and education

  • Ph.D. or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, or a similar discipline
  • Large-scale problem-solving experience and knowledge of the airline sector are advantages.

Qualifications, Licensure, and Experience

  • The most successful applicants will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in addition to a demonstrated talent for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving.
  • To implement solutions, one must be able to use computer-based tools and programming languages.
  • A plus would be having solid experience with R, Python, designing intricate SQL queries, Big Data, or other data mining software.
  • A readiness to take charge of tasks and exercise initiative at work.
